Jérôme Lange

My fields of specialisation lie in 18th century political economy and the socio-political theories of Enlightenment Europe, the history of development economics, population theory and urban studies. I teach at the Sorbonne and the American University of Paris. Before starting my PhD, I worked in international development organisations on questions of slum-upgrading and African development. I enjoy reading, dancing, getting to know people, intelligent movies, good food and stimulating conversations.
