Pato Laterra
I am a young scholar working at the intersection of gender, human rights and social justice. I am a PhD student in Facultad de Ciencias Sociales at Universidad de Buenos Aires, studying the relationship between cissexism, care and alternative views on care that address access to care and social justice to trans* people. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics (Universidad de Buenos Aires) and a master’s degree in Care Policies with Gender Perspective at Consejo Latinoamericano de Ciencias Sociales (CLACSO-FLACSO Brasil). For the last 12 years I have been working on feminist economics in workshops and grassroots settings and for the last 8 years I have been teaching at universities. I´m profesor adjunto in the Seminar on Feminist and Intersectional Perspectives in Economic Sciences at the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (FCE-UNLP), and I teach in the Economics and Gender Elective Course in the Economics degree at the (FCE-UBA) and in the Economics and Gender Elective Seminar at a post degree in Economic Development at the Instituto de Altos Estudios Sociales de la Universidad de San MartÃn (IDAES-UNSAM). I´m a member of Sociedad de EconomÃa CrÃtica (SEC), Espacio de EconomÃa Feminista de la Sociedad de EconomÃa CrÃtica (Argentina-Uruguay) and Junior Fellows at the Center for Applied Transgender Studies (CATS). I was a member of the Youth Working Group of the Non-Governmental Organisation Action Aid (2018-2021). I´m a member of Sociedad de EconomÃa CrÃtica (SEC), Espacio de EconomÃa Feminista de la Sociedad de EconomÃa CrÃtica (Argentina-Uruguay) and Junior Fellows at the Center for Applied Transgender Studies (CATS).
