Description
The Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Economics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), in collaboration with the Latin America Working Group, cordially invites you to apply for the First Edition of the Summer School of Applied Economics for Latin America (EVEAAL), featuring a hands-on approach. Scheduled from July 29th to August 6th, 2024, this event will offer a hybrid format, allowing participants to attend either in-person or online. Aimed at the entire academic community at the postgraduate level in the region, the program seeks to enhance educational opportunities.
This initiative aims to foster critical discussions and knowledge exchange among young students, researchers, and professors in the region. Hosted by UNAM in Mexico, EVEAAL provides a platform for comprehending and discussing current issues, as well as exploring analytical techniques contributing to a deeper understanding of these challenges.
The activities will be held at the Postgraduate Program of Economics facilities in Ciudad Universitaria, Mexico City, focusing on three main themes: “International Migration: A Microeconometric Approach,” “Spatial Analysis of Social Exclusion,” and “Panel Data Econometrics Applied to Gender Studies.” The final segment, scheduled for August 5th and 6th, will emphasize academic linkage, showcasing selected articles or graduate theses submitted by participants. Certificates of participation will be awarded to those attending 80% of the sessions. This event will be conducted in Spanish.
