Basis

  1. Participation is open to academics and students specializing in the field on topics related to the Theory of Inflation:

– Causes of inflationary imbalances

– Measures to contain and reduce inflationary processes

– Consequences of inflationary processes on economic development

– The impacto f the exchange rate on international rate

– The relationship between the exchange rate and international reserves

– Causes of exchange rate devaluation and overvaluation

– Exchange rate and anti-inflationary policies in emerging economies

  1. Send the summary of your papers to grc.o@outlook.com from May 15th, 2024 until August 31, 2024, at 23:59 hours in an electronic PDF file with Times New Roman 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, and following the model of citations and references of the American Psychological Association (APA). Extension of the abstract of 250 words.
  2. Confirmation of acceptance will be sent by e-mail and published on the same website. Selected papers will be presented at the Seminar.
  3. The registration form available on the same web page should be filled out, to which a biographical sketch of each participant should be added, as well as contact information including name, institution, telephone number, and e-mail address. In the case of collective works, the name of the representative of the group of authors must be indicated. This document shall be submitted to the jury for its opinion.
  4. The jury will be composed of the coordinators of the Seminar, and the jury’s decision will be final.
  5. The Young Scholars Initiative will evaluate and award travel scholarships to young scholars whose work is selected by the jury. Applicants should indicate their desire to be considered for such a scholarship in their abstract submission.
  6. Once your paper has been selected, you have until October 4th, 2024, at 23:59 hours to submit your full paper. The document must include the title of the article, the abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions, and bibliography. The work should have a maximum length of 25 pages, with Times New Roman 12-point font, 1.5 line spacing, and follow the model of citations and references of the American Psychological Association (APA). The paper should be sent as an electronic Word and PDF file to grc.o@outlook.com.
  7. Before September 6th, 2024, those selected will be notified via e-mail of their participation in the Seminar.
  8. Selected papers will be exhibited during the Seminar. The Institute reserves the right to publish them in the book “Inflación y tipo de cambio en economías emergentes”, which will be co-published by CIDE and UNAM once the requirements established by the university regulations on publishing matters have been met.
  9. The jury will resolve aspects not foreseen in this call.
