Description

The Latin American Working Group has been holding multiple events in the region, some talking about regional and local issues or theoretical discussions with implications for them. To generate meeting spaces beyond meetings, but spaces for debate and meeting points for dialogue, we believe that this type of seminar can strengthen the objective of building a network in the region and enabling the meeting between participants to promote the national hubs of YSI.

This 1st virtual seminar will be held for six months, on the first Saturday of each month. Mentors from the region will participate and make a presentation on each session’s topic, followed by a space for comments and questions.

The last session will be an open space for the presentation of papers by the participants that are related to the topics presented during the seminar.

Certificate of participation: Those who participate in at least 5 of the six sessions will receive a certificate on behalf of YSI.

The topics of each of the sessions are as follows:

Date Topical
March 8, 2025 Current overview of the Latin American and Caribbean economies
April 5, 2025 Environmental crisis and productive reconversion in the region.
May 3, 2025 Feminist Economics: Contributions to Rethinking the Region.
June 7, 2025 Regional integration.
July 5, 2025 Bets to overcome social gaps in the region.
