The Colloquia hosted by Advanced Study Institute of Asia (ASIA) at SGT University in collaboration with Young Scholars Initiative (YSI), an Initiative of The Institute of New Economic Thinking (INET) aim to bring together experts, stakeholders, and policymakers from different countries in Asia to discuss the current state of lead poisoning research, policy frameworks, and prevention strategies. This colloquium aims to serve as a platform for knowledge-sharing, policy dialogue, and collective action to address the critical issue of lead poisoning in India and South Asia. The goal is to identify gaps and limitations in existing policies and research and to propose recommendations for strengthening the policy framework and research agenda on lead poisoning in Asia.
Our target audience would be the health professionals, researchers, policymakers, government officials involved in public health and environmental protection, representatives from NGOs, academic institutions, industry, and international organizations working on environmental health issues and community members, parents, and individuals interested in learning about lead poisoning prevention.
