Workshop on Research Communication for Young & Emerging Scholars on Cooperatives

The ICA CCR Asia Pacific Conference and the working group on Cooperatives from Young Scholar Initiative, Institute for New Economic Thinking present a unique opportunity to convene researchers within the cooperative sector, offering a platform to exchange resources and foster connections for future collaborations. This event is particularly significant for young and emerging scholars in this dynamic and interdisciplinary field, in preparation for the events that will be held at the ICA Global Conference at HEC University in Montreal in 2025.

The field of cooperative research is growing in prominence, taking on increased urgency as we seek to address the challenges posed by traditional scholarly narratives, such as in economics, management, accounting, and finance. However, in different sectorial departments, it is still difficult to make the voice of cooperative scholars heard and to valorize it. It is within this context that the Young & Emerging Scholar Workshop can empower and connect emergent scholars who grapple with the complexities of conducting research in this expanding domain.

As it is usual, the Young & Emerging Scholar Program begins on the evening of Tuesday, October 15th, as young scholars gather at the networking activities organized by the main conference. On October 16th, the heart of the program unfolds, featuring two sessions.
