Description
In collaboration with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), we are pleased to invite submissions for a three-day workshop focused on “Housing, Sustainable Cities, and Regional Economic Sustainability.” The workshop will take place in Denver, Colorado. It aims to provide a platform for young scholars, professionals, emerging leaders, and researchers to present and enhance their research on housing market dynamics, sustainable urban development, and the influence of local and regional economic sustainability.
The workshop will be integrated with the “YSI Sessions” throughout the IEDC conference, allowing participants to present their research to a broader audience and receive feedback from mentors and peers.
The Workshop structure includes three types of activities:
- Key Note presentations.
- Research Presentations: The young scholars will present their research in order to receive feedbacks from the peers and the mentors
- Workshops with the mentors: an active process led by the mentors and directed to the profile of the scholars.
As cities navigate the complexities of economic volatility, demographic changes, and climate change, a deep understanding of housing market dynamics and their impact on local and regional economic sustainability is crucial. This workshop aims to:
- Foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the relationship between housing affordability, livability, and long-term economic viability.
- Encourage young scholars to examine the intricate links between urbanization, economic stability, and environmental stewardship.
- Empower participants to develop innovative solutions to enhance urban resilience and sustainability.
- Contribute to the development of robust frameworks for resilient and sustainable cities in the face of global challenges.
