Description

The Brazilian Keynesian Association is proud to announce its 18th Conference, gathering heterodox economists in Brazil. Centered on the theme “Building Equitable Societies: Development, Sustainability, and Inclusion”, the event will explore new development pathways to address growing inequalities. During the event, our keynote speaker will discuss the congress theme, seeking to rethink development trajectories in light of increasing social, economic, and environmental inequalities. In addition, the event will feature a Pre-Conference School aimed at young scholars. This special session seeks to empower emerging scholars by revisiting original texts in order to address contemporary economic challenges.

The event will take place from August 30 to September 4, 2026, at the Universidade Federal de Sergipe (UFS), in Aracaju, Brazil. YSI will provide partial financial support to selected participants.

Interested individuals may register for the conference through this link. The deadline for paper submission is May 17, 2026. Some students with accepted papers will be selected to receive partial support for travel expenses.

We look forward to seeing you there!
