Description
EPOG (Economic POlicies for the Global transition) is a master’s programme that has been created in 2012 with the support of the European Commission, under the “Erasmus Mundus Master’s Course” label. For nine cohorts (2013-2023), the programme has trained more than 250 outstanding students in political economy from all over the world, putting a strong emphasis on critical and institutionalist approaches.
This year, several EPOG alumni that are part of YSI team have decided to launch a “YSI-day” during the 2024 EPOG Conference in Marseille, France together with approximately 50 students graduating either from EPOG 2 or EPOG+, over 30 alumni of the program, and a number of EPOG faculty, partners and invited guests. In the workshop will introduce YSI to this year’s graduating cohorts and follow up that presentation with a project building session. In small groups, we will discuss and write down YSI project proposals for the academic year 2023/2024, with an aim of finding ways for EPOG alumni and the EPOG alumni association to better collaborate with the various YSI working groups.
At the moment, EPOG includes two master’s programmes, EPOG 2 and EPOG+. The EPOG+ programme has been selected as a programme of excellence by the European Commission as an “Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree”. It is coordinated by the University of Compiègne with, as partners (degree awarding institutions): Sorbonne University, University Paris Cité, University of Turin, Berlin School of Economics and Law, University Rome 3, Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of the Witwatersrand. It has more than 30 associated partners from both academic and non-academic institutions worldwide which host students as guest researchers. INET is among these associated partners and many YSI members are also EPOG alumni.
