June 28th, 2024
14:00 – 18:00
Institute of Economics, Unicamp
This Event is framed for the Selected Students of the School. Please only submit to this project if you were selected for the school.
Guidelines:
- Each student should prepare a short proposal of a paper (200-300 words) on a topic related to the Winter School;
- The paper proposal has to be sent through YSI/INET’s platform by June 3rd, 2024:
- The Organizing Committee of the Winter School will:
- review those proposals and send comments to the students;
- organize small groups (around 4-5 persons) with students whose topics are related;
- The students should meet in these groups (online before the school and in person during the first week of the school) to discuss their ideas and agree on a joint-paper;
- On June 28th (14:30-18:00) we will have sessions where the students will make 10-15 minutes presentations about the planned papers. Depending on the number of presentations, we will define the number of parallel sessions. In each session, we will have at least one scholar as commentator;
- The presentations will be considered as the final assessments for the students;
- Students will be stimulated to develop their papers after the Winter School, sending them to our team, for possible publication.
- Selected groups will be awarded with a Workshop grant (up to US$ 6,000) from YSI-INET, aimed at the organization of a Workshop about the topic of the paper and stimulate the continuing of the network after the school.
Obs: The Winter School is being organized with the support of the BRICS Research Institute of the Durban University of Technology; for track 2 of the Winter School (devoted to the Global South), this Students’ Presentation session will be part of the 3rd BRICS Postgraduate Forum (jointly organized with YSI/INET).
