We are excited to invite you to apply for the YSI Pre-Conference Day (Early Career Day) at the 24th BIEN Congress, taking place in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, from August 25–29, 2025. This is a unique opportunity for early-career researchers, young scholars, and graduate students passionate about inequality, social policy, and basic income to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborate with global experts.
How to Apply:
- Register on the BIEN website here and select the “Early Career Day” option.
- Click on the “Apply Now” button on the YSI event page.
- Complete the form with your personal information, submit your motivation statement, abstract, bio, and 5 keywords related to your research.
Selected participants will receive travel stipends and accommodation for the entire duration of the Congress.
Deadline: February 28th, 2025.
This year, we will focus on topics such as:
- Basic Income & Social Justice
- Environmental Sustainability
- Gender Justice
- Community and Solidarity Economies
- Innovative Research Methodologies
We strongly encourage submissions from scholars of diverse backgrounds and underrepresented institutions, especially those focused on Latin America.
