I am reaching out to draw your attention to the funded UNU-MERIT PhD programmes on Innovation, Governance and Sustainable Development.
Externally funded projects combining data scientists and economists in the areas of innovation, labor markets, and economic development are expected to start next year. Proposals that combine these expertise are very welcome.
In brief, our PhD programme focuses on a few core disciplines: the economics of innovation, public policy and governance. Our full-time fellowship programme offers funding through a UNU-MERIT fellowship, an external grant or scholarship, or an employment contract. Full-time fellows reside in Maastricht to carry out their studies in collaboration with supervisors who are top researchers in their fields. Our dual career programme is designed for working professionals and researchers to carry out their studies from their home countries at their own pace and with self-secured funding, with opportunities to come to our institute for trainings and on-site events with peers and faculty.
Graduates of our programmes are positioned in senior roles in top academic institutes international organizations including the World Bank and the UN, and national governments across the world.
