Common questions:

What is the status of my claim? 

  • ‘Initialized’ means you still need to claim your funds.
  • ‘Unapproved’ means the team has not yet reviewed your claim. Please give them a few days.
  • ‘Pending’ means it may be on hold with PayPal. You might be able to learn more by logging into your paypal account.
  • ‘Denied‘ means your receipts were not sufficient to substantiate your claim. The team will be in touch with you.
  • ‘Success’ means the funds should be in your PayPal. 

My claim is listed here, but I never got an email about it.
Please check spam! And if its not there, see if you have multiple accounts with YSI. If so, the email may have gone to another email inbox than you thought.

My claim says “Success” but the funds are not in my PayPal. 
This sometimes happens if your PayPal account was not yet fully setup. Sometimes, a bank account needs to be linked before money can be received. If you notice this is what happened, finish setting up your PayPal and ask reimbursements@youngscholarsinitiative.org to re-send your funds. 

Where can I see if the senior speaker in my project has been reimbursed yet?
Senior speakers have their own, separate form. You are not able to track their transactions here, but you can ask ysi@ineteconomics.org for a status update if you need.
