About
For economics to serve the people, it must first be understood by the people. As a development researcher and Modern Money Lab scholar, I am dedicated to democratizing economic literacy in the Philippines. My work bridges the gap between complex theory and public action, sitting at the vital intersection of heterodox economics, ecological sustainability, and data-driven field research. Currently pursuing a Master of Economics of Sustainability at Torrens University Australia, I advocate for diverse perspectives—including Modern Monetary Theory (MMT)—to address our most pressing systemic challenges. I pair this macro-vision with a rigorous technical toolkit: Technical: Proficiency in R, Stata, QGIS, XLSForm, and KoboCollect. Fieldwork: Over 2 years of experience digitizing survey tools, training nationwide research teams, and ensuring data integrity for large-scale research projects. Beyond the data, I am a volunteer organizer with Ekonsepto and the Young Scholars Initiative, working to ensure that economic education is accessible, inclusive, and transformative for all.
