Andrew Okem holds a doctorate in Policy and Development Studies from the University of KwaZulu Natal where he currently works as a Science Officer. Before his current post, he worked as a senior researcher with the Maurice Webb Race Relations Institute. He has research experience in the study of cooperatives. He is the editor of Theoretical and Empirical Studies on Cooperatives: Lessons for Cooperatives in South Africa (Springer).
