About
I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bard College. My research interests cover Financial Economics, Complexity Economics, Monetary Economics, and the History and Methodology of Economics. I received a Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Economics from New School for Social Research, a M.A. Economics and Complexity from Collegio Carlo Alberto, a M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Business Economics from University of Bologna.
About my research
My research focuses on the stochastic structure of financial markets and investors’ speculative behavior. I investigate this through the application of Information Theory and Statistical Equilibrium. Besides the technical aspects of my research, I am also deeply interested in the historical and institutional approach to finance. My work has been published in various peer-reviewed journals, including Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Review of Political Economy, and the Annals of the Fondazione Luigi Einaudi.
