About
I am a currently a Lecturer in International Development at the University of Sussex in the School of Global Studies. I did my PhD in African Economic History at the University of Zimbabwe and my research, which culminated in a monograph, explored how women's labour power was appropriated by the colonial state and society in both the public and private spaces. Other research interests include natural resources and governance, migration, and informal markets.
