About
I am Assistant Professor of Economics at Université de Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France). I hold a PhD in Sciences of Society from the Écoles des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. My work explores how contemporary economics functions both as a distinct discipline and in interacting with the broader world. I use my training in economics, sociology and history to understand how economist do research, train students and debate and advise on policy. My dissertation examined the way in which economists in the United-States have sought to establish the scientific authority of their discipline during the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s. Currently, my research also focuses on the mechanism producing gender imbalance in economics. I used my knowledge of the functioning of economics to help students developing a critical distance while learning.
