About
I was born in a small town in central Italy and pursued my studies in Rome, where I obtained a bachelor degree in Political Science and a master degree in Economics. I am currently a PhD candidate in Economics within the joint doctoral program of the Tuscan universities, where I focus on macroeconomic dynamics and demand-led growth models. My academic path reflects a growing interest in understanding the structural determinants of economic growth, inequality, and the role of public policy in shaping sustainable development trajectories.
About my research
PhD researcher in Macroeconomics, with a focus on demand-led growth models. I am particularly interested in the relationship between economic growth and income distribution. My research explores how different macroeconomic frameworks shape both growth dynamics and inequality. More specifically, I work on two main strands. On the one hand, I reflect on the possibility of moving beyond growth as a primary policy objective, and on the conditions under which such a shift could be socially sustainable. On the other hand, I investigate the role of credit in contemporary growth models, with particular attention to what happens when private credit is used as a substitute for public expenditure. My goal is to contribute to the development of theoretically grounded and empirically relevant frameworks for understanding the challenges of sustainable and equitable economic systems.
