About my research
My current research is on the effect of the Great Recession on gendered employment outcomes in Africa: the case of South Africa. I'm using a combination of macro growth and sector data and microeconomic survey data to capture the causal effect of the 2008/9 recession on gendered employment outcomes in South Africa using a Regression Discontinuity Design.
