About
As a research professional, currently, I'm working as a social consultant with the Environmental Research Management, a sustainability consulting organization. Currently, I'm pursuing PhD in Environment and Energy Policy (EEP) after having worked in the industry for eight years. I have built experience in the social research sector, including research program management. My area of specialization is in development sector with focus on renewable energy. I like working with indigenous communities which has been part of work while undertaking social impact assessment (SIA). My focus research area is on social sustainability of renewable energy sector in Global South, with particular focus in rural areas.
About my research
Technology solutions exist which have the ability to change the livelihood of communities who are defined by the deprivations (economic, social) and are dependent on climate for livelihood. Yet the technology has not interacted with them. There are households with mobile connectivity but no power to charge; there are households with internet but no toilet with water facility. This is the structural bias of technology where it reaches human selectively and choses to dehumanise us, rather than humanise itself.
