About

Hey there, fellow young scholars! I'm all about the exciting world of Economics, with a special focus on creating a more sustainable economy for all. When I'm not crunching texts and numbers, you'll find me sipping on my superpower fuel: coffee! I'm also a football enthusiast, and I'm not talking about the one you play with your hands. I'm all about that footwork magic on the field! Oh, and I'm a judo practitioner too, channeling my inner ninja. Did I mention my knack for public speaking? In Portuguese, I'm a pro! But hey, I'm still working on my English-speaking skills. Embracing those hilarious language moments is all part of the charm, right? So, if you're seeking an enthusiastic, slightly nerdy young scholar who loves coffee, and kicks it on the defense of a football field, look no further.

About my research

So, what's been keeping me busy? Well, I've been diving deep into the fascinating world of sustainable practices among Brazilian agricultural producers. Specifically, I've been exploring the adoption of low-carbon dioxide agriculture techniques. We're talking about practices that are kind to the environment while still allowing our farmers to thrive. But here's the exciting part: I've taken my research a step further and conducted a comparative analysis between family farmers and larger-scale agricultural enterprises across various Brazilian biomes. From the Amazon to the Atlantic Forest, no biome is off-limits! To make this happen, I've harnessed the power of some seriously cool tools. Agent-Based Modeling is at the heart of my research, incorporating System Dynamics, Social Network Analysis, and, sometimes, Computable General Equilibrium techniques. It's a whole computational simulation extravaganza! By combining these different dimensions, including technical, climatic, economic, and institutional factors, I hope to uncover critical insights for designing complex, prosperous, and resilient socio-ecological systems. My goal is to contribute to a better understanding of how we can build a harmonious relationship between our environment and socioeconomic well-being. So, if you're as passionate about sustainability and agriculture as I am, join me on this research journey. Together, let's unlock the secrets to creating a greener and more prosperous future for all!
