About
I am a Master’s student in Social Studies (Political Processes) at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM-Iztapalapa), Mexico. My work combines political economy, history of economic thought, and critical theory. I am particularly interested in the transformations of liberalism under neoliberalism, the emergence of illiberal political forms, and the role of macroeconomic ideas in shaping democratic institutions. I am involved in academic initiatives that seek to strengthen heterodox economics networks in Mexico and Latin America, including the organization of international events and research collaborations.
About my research
My current research develops a critical genealogy of neoliberal transformation (1980–2024), analyzing how macroeconomic paradigms reshape democratic institutions and political legitimacy. I explore the relationship between inequality, fiscal structures, and demand regimes, drawing on post-Keynesian economics and contemporary political theory. Methodologically, I combine historical analysis with comparative and structural approaches to examine how economic ideas influence institutional change.
