Description

In cooperation with the International University College (IUC) of Turin, the INET YSI Finance, Law and Economics Working Group invite you to the Foundations of Money and Finance course presented by YSI scholars for the Comparative, Law and Economics Masters at the IUC. The course will be presented by Aleksandar Stojanovic, Jay Pocklington, Asgeir Torfason and Maria Schweinberger.

The course provides an introduction to the Money View analytical framework with a specific focus on risk, funding and payment aspects of the financial system. It begins with an analysis of a simple transaction and proceeds to discuss topics such as money and capital markets; monetary and fiscal policy; financial instability; bankruptcy; eurodollar market and others.

Since this is a closed course of the IUC, you will need to apply to attend on a not for credit basis. The course will be based purely in person, participants who are located in Turin are welcome to join. No travel stipends to Turin will be awarded for participants for this event.
