Description

The YSI Urban and Regional Economics Working Group and the RSA – KIRDSA Network invite Graduate Students and Early Career researchers based in South America to submit their research for the Young Scholars Sessions of the International Conference on regional development in South America: empowering knowledge flows and collaboration networks that is going to happen in February 8-9, 2024 in Montevideo, Uruguay.
This conference aims to bring together researchers studying the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the South American context and development processes with a territorial approach in the region’s countries.
Selected Young Scholars will present their research at the Young Scholar Sessions and will participate of the Paper Development Workshop. The idea of the Young Scholar Sessions is to build a space in which the Young Scholars can present their research and receive feedbacks from their peers, but also contributions from a mentor, in order to provide them guidance for improvements. Beyond the YSI activities, the young scholars will have the opportunity to participate of other activities of the conference such as paper presentation sessions, presentation and discussion sessions with keynote speakers and a round table with policy makers.
