Call for Papers: Financial Stability WG @ Trento Festival for Economics

Dear Young Scholars,

As you probably know, YSI is organising its European regional convening in Italy this coming June. This regional convening will take place during the Trento Festival of Economics (May 31st – June 3rd, 2018).

The Financial Stability Working Group will also take part in this event, and invites all of you to submit your abstract/paper to the following Call for Papers:

1) The Economic Possibilities of Technology: this is a joint call with 10 other working groups related to Technology (the theme of the overall festival). The Financial Stability WG welcomes all contributions related to "Technology, Financial Innovations and Financial Stability": eg. High-frequency Trading, Emerging Fintechs, Blockchain, New Payment/Clearing/Settlements Platforms, E-Currencies, End of Cash.

2) Reconciling Financial Stability and Economic Inclusion across space: following our on-going webinar series, the Inequality WG, the Urban and Regional WG and the Financial Stability WG welcomes all contributions related to (but not limited to): Geography of banking, instability and exclusion, Social/ethical banking, credit unions and microcredit, Innovations and financial stability/inclusion, Local currencies and credit-based systems, Interaction between State intervention and private sector in providing both financial stability and financial inclusion, Global financial safety nets, Universal basic income / jobs guarantee, Housing Markets and Financial System.

Please submit your paper by April 22nd, 2018.
