The Center for Studies on New Developmentalism of the Sao Paulo School of Business Administration at Getulio Vargas Foundation, with the support of the LAWG and the São Paulo Research Foundation – FAPESP is pleased to invite interested candidates for participating in the 5th Workshop on New Developmentalism: Economics and Political Economy of New Developmentalism, which will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, on July 28 and 29, 2022.
The program will include, on the first day, a mini-course on new developmentalism in which the theory will be compared with classical developmentalism (development economics) as well as with post-Keynesian macroeconomics – the two schools of thought from which new developmentalism originates.
We are very pleased to announce that Robert Wade, from London School of Economics, one of the main specialists in the development model of East Asian countries, will be the Keynote Speaker on the first day and will give a Masterclass on the second day of the Workshop.
