Dear cooperators,
we are looking for a social media manager / curator of our working group on cooperatives!
Until now we didn't have any social media presence apart of very sporadic presence for some webinars. Now, we want to change this through the creation of a constant social media presence. Therefore we are opening a volunteering position:
Social Media Manager / Curator // Community Manager
- You love online-communication and are a young scholar (master, PhD student, or Post-doc) who deals in her/ his studies or research with cooperatives and cooperation
- you are interested in current developments in cooperative research of any discipline
- you want to transport the spirit of YSI
- you will build a communication strategy and carry it out
- you will work independently and also regulary communicate with the YSI group coordinators of cooperatives from time to time about the communication plan
- your written English is good (no need to be your mother tongue!)
- your personal qualities are: self-reliant, good communicator, easy to work with your colleagues
- you should have a spare time of 1,5 – 2,5 hours per week willing to invest
Tasks
You will decide upon your tasks. possible tasks may include:
- elaborate a communication strategy & back it up with the coordinators
- post one or more social media channels (facebook, twitter, linkedin?)
- motivate & inspire through the transportation of the YSI spirit
- inform about working group activities & YSI conferences
- inform & communicate about events / research etc. related to cooperatives
- connect with other actors of the cooperatives mouvement – practicioners and academics
No prior (professional) experience in social media management is required, if you are willing to go learn by doing via trial and error, your application is warmly welcome!
We hope to have one or two social media managers with diverse background (female and male, from different continents).
