With a heavy heart, we inform you that one of the YSI organizers has passed away.
Dao Thi Mai Quyen (a.k.a. Quyen), 27, passed away on November 20th, 2019 in Ha Noi, Vietnam in a car accident. She was working as a research fellow at Innovation and Incubation Space (FIIS), Foreign Trade University, after completing her Master in Intellectual Property Law and Knowledge Management at Maastricht University.
Quyen was a beloved, friendly and kind girl with lots of dreams and hopes. She continuously worked to contribute to knowledge of innovations of corporations. Quyen was a key organiser of Innovation Working Group for Young Scholars Initiative Asia Convening in Hanoi, August 2019. With creativity and dedication, she took part in shaping her Working Group’s sessions and spread unmissable energy to other young scholars in the event. After the event, Quyen continued to brainstorm ideas to connect young scholars at her university and Vietnam with YSI.
She will be missed by the YSI community and all who have met and worked with her.
