We are thrilled to launch our YSI event series on 'The structural role of regional integration in a just transition in Latin America.' This series of events aims to explore the importance of socioeconomic integration in kickstarting a just transition process for the countries in the region. The series will take place monthly between May and September in a hybrid way across at least five cities: Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Santiago and Montevideo.
In each event, we will gather to discuss and debate the structural barriers and opportunities for socioeconomic integration in Latin America focusing in a specific country reality. We will examine the social, economic, and political factors that contribute to successful and sustainable integration and consider the role of international organizations and civil society groups in this process. Through presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities, attendees will have the chance to share their research and engage in lively conversations with other scholars and practitioners interested in this critical topic.
