Keynotes are:
Jayati Ghosh: Jayati Ghosh is a development economist and Professor of Economics at the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning, School of Social Sciences, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, in New Delhi, India. Her specialities include globalization, international finance, employment patterns in developing countries, macroeconomic policy, and issues related to gender and development.
Jonathan Ostry: Jonathan David Ostry is an international economist, who is currently Deputy Director of the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund. He is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
Danny Quah: Danny Quah is Li Ka Shing Professor in Economics at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Quah’s work includes contributions to the fields of economic growth, development economics, monetary economics, macroeconometrics, and the weightless economy.
Peter Frankopan: Peter Frankopan is Professor of Global History at Oxford University, where he is also Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College, Oxford and Director of the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Research. Frankopan is the author of The Silk Roads: A New History of the World.

The East Asia Working Group of the Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) of the Institute for New Economic Thinking (INET) is hosting a workshop for young scholars in the field of economics and relevant disciplines (broadly defined). The Working Group, either independently or in collaboration with other Working Groups, organises four sessions regarding the new economics of Pacific Rim, Financial Stability, Economic History, and Gender. The convening will be held on May 6-9, 2019 in Da Nang, Vietnam.
