on Monday the 4th of December at 10:00am GMT we will have our first webinar of the Fall Session. Our guest speaker, Professor Irene Rioboo Leston, will give a presentation about gender statistics and the European Gender Equality Index. She is Professor in Statistics at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid, and she worked at EU level with The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) on the development of the Gender Equality Index for the EU, and with the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound) on the European Quality of Live Survey and in the Gender Employment Gap Project. She is an expert on advanced quantitative methods applied to comparative social and economic analysis, and she is particularly interested in the development and assessment of indicators to measure socio-economic inequalities.
We are sure that this will be an inspiring "warm-up" for our new webinars' series. We are planning to hold another webinar before the Winter Holidays, on the 18th of December, and in that occasion we would like to discuss the schedule for 2018's webinars. In particular, if you have papers or projects to present start to think about the opportunity of presenting them in one of our WG's webinars 😉
