WICK #7 – PhD Workshop Economics of Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge

Dear Fellows,

We are pleased to announce the annual meeting for doctoral students and young researchers in Economics of Innovation, Complexity, and Knowledge, organized by the students of the Vilfredo Pareto PhD program, University of Turin, jointly with the Brick, Collegio Carlo Alberto and INET-YSI's Complexity Economics Working Group (CEWG).

The workshop will be held on January 8-9, 2020 at the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin, Italy.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together young researchers from different disciplines and provide them with an opportunity to discuss both full and early works.

The main topics of the workshop are Economics of Knowledge and Innovation, with a special focus on Firm and Regional Innovation Strategies, Economics of Science, Economics of Networks, Energy and Environmental Economics and their policy implications. Sessions will be methodologically heterogeneous. Econometric contributions, as well as Complex Network Analysis and computational methods, such as Agent-Based Models, are very welcome.

The event will feature keynote contributions from Prof. Stefano Breschi (Bocconi University), Prof. Neave O'Clery (University College London) and Dr. Tommaso Ciarli (SPRU – University of Sussex).

The EXTENDED application deadline will be on November, 18 .

Financial assistance for travel expenses of up to €100,00 (European) or €300,00 (International) and accommodation facility is available for a selected number of participants.
