YSI IUC Webinar with Prof. Jan Toporowski

Dear Young Scholars,

We are excited to invite you to join our second YSI IUC webinar for 2021 (which will be hosted only online without a concurrent in person gathering). In this webinar, Prof. Jan Toporowski, Professor of Economics and Finance at SOAS, will do a follow up on the first edition of the YSI-IUC web-seminar series held in April 2019, where he presented a lecture titled “Can Mark Carney/Mario Draghi/Jay Powell do it? The scope of the Central Bank” traversing the historical arguments and contemporary issues on the scope and operations of central banks. In this series, he will reflect on his previous presentation in a post-pandemic setting.

The format of the webinar will entail a 40 minute presentation by Prof. Toporowski followed by a 20 minute Q&A discussion with the audience.
