YSI Special Session at International Schumpeter Society Conference 2021

Dear all,

The Complexity and Economics of Innovation Working Groups are organising a special session for young scholars at the International Schumpeter Society Conference 2021 (Rome, July 8 – 10 2021). The young scholar special session, with title "Sectoral patterns of innovation and the evolution of industrial structure", will feature 4 PhD students presenting their unpublished work to an audience of both young and senior scholars in the field of Economics of Innovation and Structural Change.

The aim of the initiative is to bring together young researchers in the fields of Economics of Innovation and Structural Change and provide them with an opportunity to discuss their work with a broad and highly qualified audience, and to receive helpful feedback and comments both from peers and distinguished professors attending the conference. Confirmed senior scholars to comment on the papers presented in the session are Maria Savona, Antonio Andreoni, Giovanni Dosi and Alex Coad.

We will select relevant contributions related to the following topics:

Economics of Innovation
Economics of Knowledge
Sectoral Patterns of Innovation
Industrial Dynamics
Analysis of Industrial Interdependencies
Input-Output Production Network
Economic Complexity
Industrial and Innovation Policy
In addition, the ISS has agreed to allow young scholars to attend the conference without fee, even if not presenting a paper. When applying, please indicate whether you are interested in presenting a paper or just in attending the conference.

Applications for the special session and/or to attend the conference will be open until March 15th.
