Introduction
Welcome to YSI Cooperatives Working Group!
The Cooperatives Working Group aims to bring together researchers interested in cooperatives from a wide range of disciplinary and regional backgrounds. We want to get scholars interested in cooperatives and economic cooperation talking to one another, sharing our research, and developing new questions and ideas to better understand economic cooperation.
Welcome to the YSI Cooperatives & Cooperation Working Group (WG)!
The Cooperatives & Cooperation working group started in 2015, with the goal of bringing together researchers interested in cooperatives from a wide range of disciplinary and regional backgrounds. We want to get scholars interested in cooperatives and economic cooperation talking to one another, sharing our research, and developing new questions and ideas to better understand economic cooperation within academia and as practiced in the wider world.
Please browse through our Q&A, and do not hesitate in contacting us should you have any questions.
What do we do in the Cooperatives & Cooperation WG?
We discuss topics that are of interest to young scholars related to Cooperatives and Cooperation. We strive to invite scholars and practitioners to share their research and knowledge. Given that YSI is comprised of young scholars based throughout the world, we mostly meet online but also during conferences.
Next planned conferences in 2019:
March 25th - 26th, 2019, Young Scholars Workshop on Cooperatives, Nairobi, Kenya
We will held our first African Working Group meeting co-oorganized with The Co-operative University of Kenya. YSI Organizers are Terence Muzorewa, Akanji Ajibola and Mercy Mwambi.
To receive updates on the Workshop, please contact: coop[ad]youngscholarsinitiative.org

Working Group News
Working Group news are the primary sources of information about what is happening in the working group. Working group news are used for important updates of relevance to the entire working group membership base, such as calls for registration, announcement of scholarships or similar.
News cannot be responded to, as it is not a conversational format - for this purpose, instead use the Working Group Discussion section!
You must sign in to access working group news.

Discussion
The discussion board is the main way for working group members to communicate and discuss relevant issues. The discussion topics can be about anything of relevance to the working group, such as ideas for projects, upcoming collaboration opportunities, and everything else related to the (potential) activities of the working group.
