We are glad to invite you to our seventh event of the Webinar series in 18th-Century History of Political Economy. In this webinar, we will have Prof. Mauricio Chalfin Coutinho talking about slave labor in the 18th-century Political Economy, with special attention to Adam Smith's contribution to the discussion.

Dr. Mauricio Chalfin Coutinho is a professor at the Institute of Economics, Unicamp (State University of Campinas/ Brazil). He works in the area of History of Economic Thought, with research in the last 15 years involving the formation of the monetary economy in the 17th and 18th centuries, Adam Smith and economic liberalism, Portuguese-Brazilian economic thinking at the end of the colonial period and in the First Empire, economic thinking by Celso Furtado.
