In this second webinar of the "Development Talks" Series, 10 April, 2023, 5:00–6:30 pm (British Summer Time).

A Modern Guide
Join us for a discussion with Prof. Erik S. Reinert (TalTech) and Dr Ingrid Harvold Kvangraven (King's College London) on their new book "A Modern Guide to Uneven Economic Development".

Unlike conventional neoclassical economic approaches, this innovative Modern Guide recognizes economic development as an inherently uneven process and delves into the complexities of theorizing and empirically exploring the mechanisms behind this unevenness. The guide addresses a wide range of issues such as wealth and poverty, technological innovation, ecology and sustainability, financialization, population, gender, and geography, and explores the cumulative causal dynamics that emerge from the interplay between these factors.
