Women in Union Organising

Description

This is a series of workshops, run by women in the field of development economics, organised by women and open to women. The hope is to create a platform where women feel comfortable occupying space. The research presented is not necessarily feminist research.

The Schedule is as follows:

The Economics of Identity with Surbhi Kesar; 31st Jan at 1 pm

Researching Gender Norms: the Value of Mixed Methods with Naila Kabeer; 6th Feb at 6 pm

Women in Union Organising with Sarah Woolley; 13th Feb at 6 pm

We are working in collaboration with Sister Library, Asia’s first feminist library, to bring forward their mission of aligning community and learning. We will be using the workshops to fundraise, as sister library is a community funded library that helps underprivileged girls cover tuition.

We are prioritising female participants (LGBTQ inclusive) and hope you are able to contribute in solidarity.
