Description

The Young Scholars Initiative (YSI) Workshop at the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Open Science Conference (OSC) in Kigali, Rwanda (23-27 Oct., 2023) offers an exciting opportunity to bring together members of the YSI community with works or interest in climate science. The workshop is designed to provide a platform for intellectual exchanges, networking, and scientific collaboration among participants of both the workshop and the OSC.

The WCRP is also positioned to bridge the gaps between the global North and South, Science and Policy, and established, mid-level and early career researchers. It is noteworthy that the youth are often marginalized in the decision making processes concerning climate change. YSI through its impressive work with the youth, is well positioned to harness the skills of its early careers researcher in tackling global
