East Asia Working Group @ YSI Plenary_Introduction and Icebreaker

Dear members of East Asia Working Group,

This is a reminder of our Working Group's very first session during the YSI plenary.
Next Monday (9 November) from 10am to 11am (GMT), coordinators/organisers will introduce the working group as well as current research clusters.

You may wonder what 'research clusters' mean. We understand that our Working Group is a regional one, which is open to various themes. As a way to diversify Working Group activities and strengthen collaboration with other thematic Working Groups, we decided to invite various research themes pertinent to East Asia (and Asia) by young scholars. That is, there's no limit for your research initiatives!

Currently, there are three research clusters and we will showcase them to you.

Gender and Inequality in East Asia

                Technologies and Economies: Rethinking Ownership

Overcoming the Eurocentrism: Towards a New Economic History of Asia and
                Global South

We hope young scholars not only join the current clusters but create your own! We are ready to have a discussion to facilitate your initiatives into a research project.

If you have any suggestion, please join the session on Monday!
