EMAEE 2019 Conference/ YSI EMAEE Workshop

Dear young scholars,

Kindly see below information on the CfP for the European Meeting on Applied Evolutionary Economics (EMAEE) and call for applications to the YSI workshop organized by Latin America and Complexity WGs that will take place during the conference. It might be of interest to some of you. The deadline for accepting applications of the EMAEE is tomorrow and for the YSI workshop is April 1st.

A kind reminder of the call for papers for the 2019 edition of the EMAEE, which will close on March 1st 2019 (likely to be postponed for PhD students) and for the YSI workshop attached to the conference. The events will be hosted by SPRU – the Science Policy Research Unit, at the University of Sussex Business School, 3-6 June 2019.

PARTIAL FUNDING AVAILABLE for submissions of PhD STUDENTS and YOUNG SCHOLARS selected for the YSI workshop. It is not necessary to have a full paper for the workshop, only a good letter of motivation. The workshop will promote a space for debating with senior experts, build linkages among scholars, and share ideas for research.

The EMAEE19’s theme is the economics, governance and management of artificial intelligence (AI), robotisation and digital transformations, but traditional topics that will also be covered include: Schumpeterian and evolutionary economics; Innovation and environmental sustainability; Complexity; Firm organisation; Structural change, economic growth and economic development; Innovation, competitiveness and trade; Science and technology policies; Economics of science; among others.
