Challenges and opportunities in the post-pandemic era: how can Keynesian economics help to rebuild a better world?

The pandemic has drastically changed the economic landscape for the next years, and now more than ever Keynesian thinking is at the center of the economic debate. From dealing with climate change to fighting poverty and inequality, from reflecting on the role of the State to rethinking economic development strategies, Keynesian theory can guide us in this new economic scenario. We will be discussing these and other topics from a Keynesian perspective at the YSI Keynesian Economics Working Group's sessions at the YSI Virtual Plenary. Join us!

We welcome work on Keynesian ideas and policies to address the following topics (and related ones):

  1. Dealing with climate change
  2. Fighting poverty and inequality
  3. Empowering and reimagining the role of public sector
  4. Setting up economic development strategy

The deadline for submissions is 15 August 2020.
