The Role of African Economists

Dear Members,

The Africa Working Group Ship on the YSI Plenary comes alive tomorrow, Wednesday 11 November 2020, after a two day break, as we host the first of two Round Tables by our mentors. Prof. Abdul-Ganiyu Ajani Garba will answer some of our questions on economists – do they have a universally ascribed role? Should they have it? Is it applicable to the African context? Do African economists exist? What is their role?

For a teaser on some of the issues Prof Garba will discuss visit: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1INfyaMrP3neTJvyQQvzzKPPg9U9A4-1G?usp=sharing.
