6th International Innovation in the BRICS Public Sector CONFERENCE

The BRICS bloc, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, represents over 25% of the world’s GDP and 42% of its population. By 2030, these nations are expected to constitute more than half of the global GDP. However, they face unique governance challenges, including sustainable development, digital transformation, financial inclusion, and data privacy. In this context, the public sector plays a crucial role in addressing these issues and driving social and economic progress.

In 2024, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur, together with the YSI Complexity Economics and South Asian WG, will host a conference themed ‘Innovation in the BRICS’ Public Sector.’ The event will take place between march 06-08 at Atal Nagar, Kurru, Abhanpur, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, India. The event aims to create a platform for knowledge sharing, innovative solutions, and dialogue, focusing on intertwining public administration with sustainable development, digitization, and ethical leadership. Attendees include academics and public and private sector leaders from the BRICS countries. The conference’s ultimate goal is to promote prosperity, inclusivity, and sustainability.

The conference will constitute of a a) Doctoral Colloquium, b) Academic Paper Presentation, c) sessions for Paper Development and d) a Methodological Workshop

Papers submitted should cover broadly one of the following themes:

1. Emerging Issues in Public Administration and Management
2. Corporate Governance
3. Government Relations
4. Diplomacy and International Business
5. NGOs and Public Sector Relations
6. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
7. E-Governance
8. Innovation in Governance
9. Ethical Leadership in Public Sector

11. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in BRICS
12. Financial Management and Economic Integration
13. Data Privacy and Security
14. Management Cases specic to BRICS Economies.
15. Tourism and Cultural Studies in BRICS

Young Schollars may be elegible for partial funding. Please highlight you are interested in funding when sending the application to the organization committee.
