Following up the two previous webinar on the Economic Consequence of Covid-19 in Latin America, the Economic Development WG and the Latin America WG are happy to announce yet another episode of this series. In this meeting, we will host Professor Juan Carlos Moreno Brid on the effects of the crisis in Mexico.

Juan Carlos Moreno Brid is currently Professor at the Economics Faculty in UNAM, Mexico. Previously he was Associate Director and Research Coordinator of the UN’s office In Mexico of ECLAC (Economic Commission For Latin America And The Caribbean) and Research Associate at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies in Harvard University. He completed his PhD at Cambridge University, and publishes extensively on the economics of Latin America in international journals and editorial houses, including Development and Growth of the Mexican Economy: A Historical Perspective (Fondo de Cultura Económica, 2014; Oxford University Press 2009); Políticas De Desarrollo Productivo En Mexico (Ilo, 2019); Cambio estructural y crecimiento en Centroamérica y República Dominicana (CEPAL, 2014).
