Description

The YSI Workshop at the 16th Annual Meeting of the African Economic History Network (AEHN) is an exciting project that aims to bring together young scholars interested in the field of African Economic History. The theme of this year Workshop is "Revisiting Africa's Economic (Development Trajectory): Past, Present, and Future". The workshop is designed to provide a platform for intellectual exchange, collaboration, and networking among early career researchers passionate about African economic history and related disciplines.

Africa's economic development trajectory has been marked by significant challenges and opportunities over the past decades. • Colonialism and its impact on African economies
• Role of African states in shaping the continent's economic history

2. Africa's Economic Development Trajectory: Present Status

• Analysis of key economic indicators and trends
• Drivers of economic growth and development in Africa

3. Africa's Economic Development Trajectory: Future Prospects
• Future trends and prospects for Africa's economy
• Opportunities and challenges for economic development in Africa
