Description

After reading Curto-Circuito, the new book by Laura Carvalho, and reflecting on the functions of the State and its role in the current context of the economic crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are meeting again for a discussion on the post-pandemic economy. For this, we will have a special guest, professor Fernanda Cimini who works with a vision on the economy and sociology of Latin America at The Center for Development and Regional Planning (Cedeplar/ UFMG). We will talk about the State's role in the pandemic making a comparison between countries in themes such as the pandemic control strategies, the need to expand the increase in the capacity of the health system, and the policies to minimize the impact of the pandemic on the population's income.
